Oasis Camel Dairy is a working farm located east of Ramona on Highway 78, which makes these near-monthly experiences such a treat.
"Camels, mini-sheep, donkeys, turkeys, parrots, dogs and cats and, of course, the owners and staff all work in some capacity to contribute to the farm,” says co-owner Nancy Riegler. "Guests learn about and enjoy this eclectic, synergistic family in an up-close and intimate experience.”
"Guests meet our camel herd, including our four youngsters, and feed them yummy treats, pet them and get crazy-awesome camel ‘selfies,’” she said. "We also have a cute mini-sheep town, where kids can go in little wooden houses and feed the miniature baby doll sheep through the doors and windows.”
