For the first time in more than 10 years, the Ramona Junior Fair, which runs from July 27 to Aug. 4, will intersect with the Ramona Country Fair, which runs Aug. 1 to 4.
It is fitting, then, that the Junior Fair’s 2019 theme will be “Good Old Country Fair.”
“We are looking forward to (the events) being back together, for the benefit of the community,” says Junior Fair Board President Jeff Becker.
Local youth will exhibit not only animals and livestock, but also crafts, preserved foods and more. The event is the culmination of their dedication to hard work, self-reliance and knowledge — elements that are an essential component of life in the country.

Opening ceremonies will begin at the junior fairgrounds, 431 Aqua Ln., at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 29. The public is invited to watch market and showmanship events starting July 30 at 8 a.m. and continuing to the early afternoon. Visit ramonajuniorfair.com.
The event operates with the support of donations from community sponsors as well as fundraisers, such as the popular barbecue and pie
auction, set for July 13.
