When costumed characters start to stroll down Main Street, you can be sure it’s Halloween, and the Merchants’ Safe Trick-or-Treat event has begun!
The celebration, sponsored by Ramona Chamber of Commerce, is set for Thursday, Oct. 31. Participating businesses will hand out candy from 4 to 6 p.m.
“Don’t be afraid to join us for our most spooktacular event, where Main Street Ramona comes alive with ghosts, vampires, witches and more,” says Chamber office manager Olivia Rochelle.
“Merchants Safe Trick-or-Treat welcomes trick-or-treaters of all ages during this one-of-a-kind Halloween event!”

At the same time as the Chamber event, kids and grownups are invited to make their way to the 1400 block of Main Street, where Trunk-or-Treat participants will show off their decorated vehicles — many of them classics — and pass out candy to the kids.
Organizers Kristy and Jerry Keller, who also head up Ramona American Graffiti Cruise during the summer, say Trunk-or-Treat is open to all cars, not just the classics.
“Everyone is welcome to set up and give out candy,” says Kristy Keller. “It’s very successful. We get a crowd, as quite a few come out to see the cars and have some candy.”
If you want to enjoy Halloween in Ramona, Main Street is the place to be!
