The Ramona Air Fair & Fly-In will offer a unique opportunity to experience Ramona Airport, a
local treasure whose Air Attack Base is recognized as the oldest in the state.
The event is set for Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there will be a lot to see and do.
“The Ramona Air Fair & Fly-In promises a day full of family-friendly fun that includes formation flying,
aircraft displays, classic cars, kids’ activities, great food, live country music and more!” says Ramona Airport manager Meadow Chase.
The band Whiskey Ridge is scheduled to perform, and there will also be airplane rides with Air Group One.
Chase says that those who attend can look forward to some special guests, along with displays of Cal Fire and U.S. Forest Service firefighting aircraft, which are always a highlight.
In addition to an appearance by Smokey Bear, there will be attractions for the children.
Ramona Airport is located at 2926 Montecito Rd. Call 760-788-3366 or visit www.sdcountyairports.com. Admission and parking are free.
